31/32 Weeks!

Weeks 31 & 32 were filled with a lot of well, stuff... some good, some not so good. We got a lot accomplished on the baby side of things, it was my birthday, and we had a death in family. I will start with that so it will end on a happy note.

Kelley's Papa (his dad's dad) had surgery on January 25th. And for about a week he was in the hospital. He wasn't responding well to the anesthesia (is what I think the Dr. had said). Well on the 1st, they wanted to move him to a rehabilitative nursing home in Live Oak. Well on Sunday (the 3rd) he was apparently still under "the fog" of the anesthesia; however he hadn't been able to eat or drink basically since the surgery (about 10 days) and he had become very weak and not doing so well. On Monday, (the 4th) the decision was made to discontiue the oxygen and allow him to peacefully drift off to heaven. His entire family was there with him most of that day, talking to him and letting him know everything was going to be okay and the entire family was just there for each other. Once most everyone went home for the night, he decided to fall asleep for the last time and he is now in heaven and living with God and enjoying every minute of it I'm sure. Please continually pray for the Gill family as we go through the process of the viewing and funeral. I know everyone in that family loved their Papa so much and thought very highly of him. They will surely miss him and his will remember his passion of God, work, and his family.

My birthday was the Jan. 28th and Kelley surprised me by having flowers delivered to my work.

I love him so much and what he wrote was the sweetest thing. I don't know if it was the pregnancy horomones or just him being really really sweet, (or both!) but he literally made my eyes fill up with tears! They were absolutely beautiful and I got to enjoy them all week.

ON TO BABY STUFF!! :)

So, I had my 32 week Dr.'s appt. and Miss Kathryn is in the 65th percentile, measuring 2 weeks ahead at around 4.75 lbs. (Average for week 32 is 3.75 - and baby's are gaining about a lb a week from here on out.) So they predicted by birth it'll be around 8 lbs. So we have a very healthy baby on our hands, well in my belly rather!  We have a 3D/4D Ultrasound scheduled for February 19th, we're hoping for a very cooperative little girl so we can see that precious face!

We have done a lot in the baby department. This past weekend, I washed all her little baby clothes (probably the ONLY time I will get as excited as I did to do laundry!) and we have them all seperated out by sizes. (If anyone asks, we're really good on 0-6 months sizes - plenty of those!)

We also bought a swing second-hand that is SO adorable!

And we now have a pack n play that we're keeping in our room for the 1st couple of months and a little changing station so no late night trips to the other side of the house every however many hours a night.

And last but not least, here's the most recent ultasound picture of our sweet baby girl at 32 weeks:
She appears to be wide-eyed, smiling, and waving at us!

It kinda looks like she'll have my chin and Kelley's nose. We shall see :)

I'm getting HUGE! (And I could NOT find the shirt I normally wear in these pics. Grrr)

How far along: 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: loss of 19 lbs. (Originally lost 24 pounds in the 1st trimester, then gained 3 back at my 28 week appt, then gained another 2 back on this last appt. - so I'm still in the 'lost' catagory since I'm going by my pre-pregnancy weight.)
Maternity clothes? Yes and I have a belly band to wear so I can still wear my pre-pregnancy jeans.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I use my body pillow on and off to help me sleep - depends on the night and how she's laying and how many times I have to go to the bathroom, etc.
Best moment this week:  Finding out that Im measuring almost 2 weeks ahead... does this mean she'll come a little early!? (Lets hope, we're ready!!)
Have you told family and friends: Yes, of course, it's kind of obvious now!
Miss Anything? Woodchuck Cider and other alcoholic beverages, cold lunch meat.
Movement: Yes, she is moving around constantly!
Food cravings: Real Authentic Mexican, cold lunch meat, tired of getting my subs toasted!
Getting queasy or sick: Sometimes, but not too bad.
Have you started to show yet: Yes :)
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? still in
Wedding rings on or off? On during the day.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! (just getting anxious to meet our little baby girl!!)
Looking forward to: Nursery is pretty near finished.

Our baby posts will probably come more often, we usually do one after each dr. appt. Well, I will see them every 2 weeks until around Week 36 - then once a week after that (GETTING SO CLOSE!!) We will keep you all posted on the exciting things happening next. Check back in a couple weeks and I'll have the 3D/4D Ultrasound up and we'll keep everyone updated on Miss Kathryn's progress!

We have that same swing and Toby loves it! I know Kathryn will enjoy it too.
