On October 29th, we went to the Dr. and she did an ultrasound. We asked her not to tell us what the gender was, but when we left to call our cake decorator (Betty Ann - she did our wedding cake) and let her know the sex of the baby. The next night on October 30th, most of our immediate family gathered at Kelley's parent's house where we had a cake waiting for us and a table of boy and girl things :)
Both our mothers have been very excited and both very TEAM GIRL, but they were very neutral for the party :)
Then the moment everyone's been waiting for! BOY? or GIRL? Watch the video!!
So, both my mom and Kelley's mom were right, it's GIRL!
We decided to let everyone know what her name will be. Her name is Kathryn Amanda. Katherine was my great-grandmother's name (we just changed the spelling a little) and Amanda is middle name of the first born female in Kelley's family that goes WAAAAAAAAY back, so we were more than happy to continue on that tradition.

We also started painting the nursery. It is blue, yes, however it will be a "Finding Nemo" theme! It's a bright blue and goes perfectly with the bedding that Kelley's mom got off our registry.
Finding Nemo!
How little Kathryn is growing:
She weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also
around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to
heel — the length of a banana.
(For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and
hard to measure, measurements are taken from the
top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks,
he's measured from head to toe.) The top of your uterus is about level with your belly button. (Taken from www.babycenter.com)
