So Kelley and I went to our appt today and she said it was still just a little early to hear the heartbeat, so we were able to get an ultrasound. We saw Baby Gill and it looks more human-ish than a peanut now! We did see the heartbeat and she said everything looked great. We are so excited about telling the world about Baby Gill. Soon and very soon, we wanted to make sure all of our family knew before we told the world, we will tell one more grandparent, then we'll be good to go. We want to tell the grandparents in person, so we had to wait to see one more tonight. This weekend we will be working on starting our weekly post and starting the pregnancy update for real. We just had a few final touches, then we can get started. (It was something I found on another blog, that I thought was really neat and our family and friends from far away can stay updated on our pregnancy, so I should have that ready to go by Monday (we hope!). Just a quick timeline, our next appt we will be able to hear the hearbeat and the appointment after that (mid-November-ish) we should be able to determine the gender... so the next couple months will be pretty exciting!
Okay, so here's another look of our little baby Gill.
- Baby Gill is about 1.6 inches long, and has got about a 1:1 head to body ratio and now weighs in at about .25 ounces.
- You can't see it, but she's moving fluidly and gracefully in there.
- Her skin is see-through, but she's on her way to looking more like a baby.
- Her fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore.
- Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.
So that's baby Gill right now and I'm not sure if we'll be able to get another ultrasound next appointment, but I'm going to try, I like seeing our little baby grow inside me. Well, until next time! :)
